After a slow start, the Blazers, who lost to the Knights in the NCAA Finals, started to gather steam in the second quarter before coming through with several offensive spurts that enabled them to grab the lead, 68-61, entering the payoff period.

It was all Benilde show from then on as Miggy Corteza, Migs Oczon and Pau Turco continued their assault to advance to the semis undefeated.

Corteza led the Charles Tiu-mentored Blazers with 13 points while Oczon and Turco each added 12 points while combining for 11 of CSB’s 20 steals in the game.

Meanwhile, San Beda finally barged into the semis with a 110-80 rout of The Th3rd Floor-KalosPH-Cooly

Jomel Puno made 19 points, five rebounds, one assist, and two steals to lead San Beda-Machateam, which will also enter the semis as Group B’s top seed due to the quotient rule.
