A Chinese man who allegedly raped a transgender woman was arrested by members of the Parañaque police Tambo substation on Friday, April 14.
Col. Renato Ocampo, city police chief, identified the suspect as Zhou Bing Jie, alias Feng Chen, 35.
He was arrested at around 11:45 p.m. at a hotel located along Barangay Tambo, Parañaque City.
Based on the police report to the Southern Police District (SPD), the 24-year old victim and the suspect engaged in a sexual act inside her rented hotel room.
After their intercourse, the suspect reportedly wanted to have sex one more time. However, the victim refused. The suspect allegedly performed another sexual act on the victim against her will.
The police said a hotel security guard witnessed the victim and the suspect arguing, wherein the suspect was seen throwing the victim's cellular phone.
The guard immediately called for police assistance, leading to the arrest of the suspect.
The suspect is currently detained at the police custodial facility.
The case was referred to the police's Women and Children’s Protection Desk for appropriate filing of charges.
