The Caloocan City government announced on Sunday, April 16, that it will open a bazaar to support and promote businesses of solo parents in the city.
The “Tindahan ni Nanay kong Tatay, Tatay kong Nanay” bazaar that will feature different products of solo parent-led business will be held at the Commercial Complex in Caloocan City Hall – South from April 17-21 (8 a.m. to 6.30 p.m). It is part of the city celebration of the National Solo Parent’s Week.

“Bigyang-pugay po natin ang lahat ng mga nanay o tatay na mag-isang nagtataguyod sa kanilang pamilya. Saludo po kami sa inyong walang kapantay na pagsisikap, pagtitiyaga, at pagmamahal (Let us honor all the mothers or fathers who support their families alone. We salute your unparalleled efforts, perseverance, and love).” Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan said.
He also urged the public to visit the bazaar and avail products to support the solo parents.
Caloocan City Social Welfare Development Department (CSWDD) Action Officer Mr. Roberto Quizon said that they have also prepared other activities for the solo parents aside from the Bazaar.
He added that the city government will support the solo parents for them to have a better future.
“Makakaasa po kayo na sa lungsod ng Caloocan, prayoridad na matugunan ang inyong mga pangangailangan, at mapapangalagaan ang inyong kapakanan at karapatan (You can expect that in Caloocan City, it is our priority priority to provide for your needs, and protect your welfare and rights),” Malapitan said.
