2 nabbed in Parañaque drug bust

Two alleged drug suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by members of the Parañaque City Police- Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) on Friday, April 14.   Police identified the suspects as Gregory Francis Barela Mariño, 36 and Jimneck Pareja Bustamante, 26; both from Tagasdaraga, Albay. They were arrested at around 3 a.m. along Barangay Don Galo. Recovered from the suspects were 25 grams of alleged shabu, amounting to P170,000, and P1,000 as buy-bust money.   The confiscated shabu was turned over to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.   The suspects are detained at the Parañaque police custodial facility.  Charges for violation of Sec. 5 and Sec. 11 Art. II of Republic Act No. 9165 or the "Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002," which prohibits the sale, trading administration, dispensation, delivery, distribution, and transportation of illegal drugs were filed against the suspects.
