Suspect in slay of municipal administrator in Pangasinan charged with murder, robbery

SANTA BARBARA, Pangasinan – Murder and robbery charges were filed against the suspect in the death of a retired municipal administrator here. Gemalyn Enriquez Fabia, 34, and a resident of Barangay Amansabina, Mangaldan, Pangasinan, was charged with murder and robbery at the Office of the Provincial Prosecutor, Dagupan City, Pangasinan on Thursday, April 13. The Pangasinan Provincial Police Office said that the body of Albertini de Guzman Jr., 73, a retired municipal administrator and resident of Barangay Banaoang, here, was discovered inside a green sedan on April 5. The car was parked on Maramba St. in Barangay Poblacion Norte, Santa Barbara, specifically at the back of the Santa Barbara Elementary School at about 10  p.m. The report also said that a shoelace was tied around his neck while seated in the driver seat. Police were able to arrest the suspect in a hot-pursuit operation in Barangay Concepcion, Cervantes, Ilocos Sur on April 11. A continuous follow-up investigation was conducted by the probers of the Santa Barbara police in coordination with other law enforcement units.
