A statement issued by the movement said these prayer rallies aim to promote unity and peace in their communities. The first prayer rally will be held on April 17, 4 p.m., at Freedom Park here. Organizers have urged residents and local government units to join their prayer rallies. They believe that these prayer rallies are opportunity for the people to unite and pray for the peace and welfare of the province. The movement is hoping that these prayer rallies will also lead to them to oppose EDCA sites. The two EDCA sites in Cagayan are located at Naval Base Camilo Osias and Lal-lo Airport. Gov. Manuel Mamba had earlier urged the people to unite against the presence of EDCA sites in the province. The governor publicly opposed any EDCA sites in Cagayan.
