Omoda and Jaecoo cars to launch in Philippines by Q4 2023

Two new automotive brands have announced their upcoming entry into the Philippine market this 2023.
The first of which, Omoda, a brand dedicated to the youthful and trendy driver – aims to deliver vehicles that satisfy the needs of the new generation. The "O" in Omoda indicates surprise, positivity and energy. It also is derived from the symbol of Oxygen, a necessary element of life. Moda, on the other hand means modern and fashionable. As a brand, Omoda promises to deliver vehicles with sleek exterior styling and high-tech features. To truly meet Filipino car buyers’ needs, Omoda’s Global Research and Development team conducted over 1000 studies in 20 countries, including ours, with the intention to create a vehicle that meets the expectations from the usual SUV – and more. The first product to be introduced to the Philippines, the Omoda 5, will integrate the characteristics of vehicles from different categories — the space of an MPV, the chassis of an SUV and the handling and comfort of a sedan.
Jaecoo is a brand focusing on delivering tough off-road vehicles. Both brands will be offering turbocharged petrol-powered vehicles and EVs upon their market entry. This brings the total up to three models at their launch: the Omoda 5 (turbo), the Omoda 5 EV, and the Jaecoo 7. All three cars will be unveiled at the upcoming Auto Shanghai this April 2023, and will soon find their way to Philippine shores. The team handling Omoda and Jaecoo PH have already envisioned a joint showroom. Both brands will enter the country before the end of 2023. While the two brands are different in purpose and target customer, will be sharing showrooms across the country. The Omoda and Jaecoo brands are targeting to open eight showrooms in the country’s key cities by 2023, with further expansion expected by 2024.
