The PBA trade committee approved the deal on Friday, April 14, as head coach Aldin Ayo looks to add more firepower to the FiberXers through the draft that could feature the likes Ricci Rivero, Justine Baltazar, Will Gozum, Fran Yu, Zav Lucero and Deschon Winston, to name a few.

As it stands, Converge now has two first-round picks which they could use to bolster its lineup which can be built around the likes of Jeron Teng, big man Justin Arana and possibly Maverick Ahanmisi.

It still remains to be seen whether Ahanmisi will remain with Converge as he is set to become an unrestricted free agent in the offseason although the high scoring guard has already hinted that re-signing to the Dennis Uy-owned franchise is his priority.

Meanwhile, Wong, who is known to be a reliable shooter as shown when he won the RSJ game MVP during the PBA All-Star, could get enough playing time and thrive under Ayo’s system which heavily relies on the outside shooting.

On the other hand, the Hotshots have added size to its roster with the addition of Tratter and Murrell. The acquisition of the 6-foot-5 Tratter should be a huge help for Magnolia especially with the uncertainty surrounding the health of big man Ian Sangalang who is still recovering from a thyroid illness.
