Cebu Pacific Manila-Laoag-Manila flights resume May 22


LAOAG CITY, Ilocos Norte – The provincial government has announced the resumption of the Manila-Laoag-Manila flights of budget carrier Cebu Pacific starting on May 22.

Manotoc said that this will not only boost the local tourism industry but also help improve the local economy.

"We are thrilled to welcome back Cebu Pacific to our province as this signals a renewed hope for our tourism industry. We hope that more airlines will follow suit, as we continue to work together to revitalize our economy and bring back the vibrancy of Ilocos Norte's tourism sector," he said.

With the continuous upgrading of the Laoag International Airport to accommodate bigger aircraft, Manotoc is looking  forward to the possibility of opening international flights to Kaohsiung, Taiwan due to its proximity to Laoag City.

Manotoc sealed the partnership and collaboration with Cebu Pacific to assure that the province is ready to host tourists once again.

Ilocos Norte Tourism Officer Ian Raquel expressed optimism about the province's tourism prospects after the sealing of the partnership.

"We have been working hard to ensure that our tourist destinations are safe and ready to receive visitors. We are confident that tourists will have a pleasant and memorable experience in Ilocos Norte."
