Big new beginning for PPop Gen

All-girl Pinoy pop group PPop Gen is more than ready for the spotlight. They are out with a brand new single titled “Hanggang Tingin Ka Lang.” The accompanying music video, showcases the girls' youthful energy and vitality as envisioned by choreographer-dance maven Geleen Eugenio. In a recent interview, members Angela, Sofia, and Char shared their excitement about the single, deeming it their best yet.
And they're thankful for the opportunity. They admitted to having long dreamed of hitting it big. There have been a few hurdles along the way but they never faltered. Angela shared, "Lagi akong always positive na I will be given the chance if I keep doing my best, mapapansin ako." "That's why very optimistic kami and sobrang happy na nandito na kami finally," she added. Sofia, who joined the group at 13, echoed the same thing. "Never pumasok sa isip ko na parang: 'Okay lang sa akin kung hindi ako frontliner as long as kasama ako sa grupo.' Ang iniisip ko: 'Mabibigyan din naman ako ng time to shine. Siguro hindi ngayon pero soon,' ganu'n. 'Sige, sila muna.'" Char added that their journey is proof of the Filipino saying: "Pag may tiyaga, may nilaga." The 23-year-old maintained, "Kung gusto mo talagang maging successful, mapakita yung talent mo, kailangan mong positive ka lagi. Tiyaga lang." Formed in 2019, the group originally consisted of 45 members. Now, they're down to seven members. Apart from Angela ,Sofia and Char, PPop Gen also includes Gabh, Madz, Princess, and Sarah. Note that aside from singing, rapping and dancing, the members also have other talents. Madz actually started her career as an actress. The 20-year-old is the daughter of production designer Danny Red. She is related by blood to filmmakers Raymond and Mikhail Red.
Princess is also a commercial model. The 21-year-old also competes as a K-Pop star lookalike.
Angela is into cosplay.
Sofia is a beauty queen with several titles to her name including Miss Teen Planet 2018, Miss Teen Hope International 2019, and Future Fashion Faces World 2022.
Char, on the other hand, is a "musical genius" who can play different instruments like piano, guitar, and drums.
According to Angela, their "diverse" personalities, interests, set them apart from other girl group. "We're very unique in our own way," she stressed. "And somehow we are able to prove that it is possible to have a solo career despite being in a group," she added. "Hanggang Tingin Ka Lang," is now out on all digital music platforms.
