The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Thursday, April 13 said the low pressure area (LPA), which was formerly known as tropical depression Amang, may continue to bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over parts of Luzon in the next 24 hours.
The LPA was last seen over General Nakar, Quezon as of 10 p.m., Thursday.
PAGASA said the weather disturbance may continue to bring light to occasional heavy rains over Tarlac, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, and Pangasinan.
“Under these conditions, flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible, especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards,” PAGASA warned.
Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA may also affect Metro Manila, Camarines Norte, and other parts of Central Luzon and Southern Luzon.
PAGASA said the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
