
The Philippines logged less than 1,000 cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday, Nov. 16.
Latest data from the Department of Health (DOH) showed 810 new infections, bringing the number of active cases nationwide to 18,824.
Most of the new cases in the recent two weeks were still found in Metro Manila with 2,945 cases.
It was followed by Calabarzon with 1,772, Western Visayas with 1,413, Central Luzon with 1,046, and Central Visayas with 927.
The newly detected cases also brought the cumulative tally of confirmed infections to 4,020,965.
Of the total tally, about 3.93 million people were able to recover from the viral illness, while 64,432 succumbed to Covid-19.
The country's healthcare utilization rate remains at low-risk with 23.7 percent bed occupancy.
