CEBU CITY – A suspected drug den operated by a 17-year-old boy and his cohort was raided and dismantled by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas in Tagbilaran City, Bohol on Wednesday, April 12.
The operation stemmed from a report that the boy and his alleged cohort, Mark Joseph Daroca, 30, turned an abandoned house in Barangay Dao into a drug den, said Leia Alcantara, information officer of PDEA-7.
Daroca was arrested during the operation while the boy was turned over to the City Social Welfare and Development Office.
Three other persons were also arrested after they were caught in the drug den during the operation. They were identified as German Andolana, 32; Modesto Cañete, 42; and Junuel Niluag, 29.
Among the items seized during the operation were seven packs of suspected shabu with an estimated market value of P40,800, Alcantara said.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects.
