Parañaque Mayor Olivarez distributes monthly allowance of public school students
Parañaque city Mayor Eric Olivarez led the distribution of the monthly allowance of 1,903 high school students from two public schools in the city on Thursday, April 13.
Olivarez said the students will receive P2,000 each covering the period of September to December, 2022.
He said the students who received their monthly allowance were those without ATM cards.
The mayor said the city government distributes P500 monthly allowance to students in public school to help them cope with their additional school expenses.
Olivarez said the second day of the distribution of the monthly allowance of high school students were held simultaneously at Moonwalk High School with 1,100 students, and at Don Bosco High School with 803 students, both located in the city’s District II.
He advised students who are holders of ATM cards to wait for the announcement of the Local School Board as to when their allowance will be released.
The mayor also said the city government has scheduled the distribution of monthly allowance of elementary students on April 19-20 and April 26-27.
Olivarez said the city government recorded a total of 110,000 students from elementary to senior high school level who are receiving the P500 monthly allowance.
