Operatives from the Southern Police District (SPD) arrested a man and seized P6.8 million worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) on April 12 in Taguig.

SPD director Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft (Photo from SPD) The SPD’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted a buy-bust operation in Arca South Compound in Taguig that resulted in the arrest of suspect Jun Mark Salonga, 43, a resident of Pateros and classified by the police as an alleged high value pusher. During the operation, the SPD seized two plastic packs containing suspected shabu weighing one kilo and valued at P6.8 million. The police also confiscated buy-bust money consisting of one P1,000 bill on top of 399 pieces of P1,000 boodle money. Salonga will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
