LOOK: Incoming economic team gets marching orders from Marcos

President-elect Bongbong Marcos appeared to mean business here in this photo where he is seen meeting his economic team led by incoming Department of Finance (DOF) Secretary Benjamin Diokno.

The meeting took place Monday, June 6 at the BBM headquarters in Mandaluyong City.

Also present in the meeting was Executive Secretary-designate Vic Rodriguez, Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary-designate Amenah Pangandaman, National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Secretary-designate Arsenio Balisacan, Department of Public Works and Highway (DPWH) Secretary-designate Manny Bonoan, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Secretary-designate Fred Pascual, Depqetment of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary-designate Benny Laguesma.

"During the meeting, Marcos outlined his priorities and issued his marching orders that were mostly designed to tow the economy out of the woods after being severely battered by the still lingering Covid-19 pandemic," read a photo release from the Marcos camp.

Marcos, 64, has repeatedly said that he wants to "hit the ground running" once he officially takes over the reins in MalacaÃ±ang.

He will take his oath as the 17th president of the country on June 30, 2022.
