In an interview with Manila Bulletinand other Asian media outlets, Yoo In-na discussed “True to Love” and her career.
Yoo In-na said she accepted to star in “True to Love” because of the script.
“When selecting a project, I just read it first. From the public's point of view, I see whether it's fun, empathetic, or has a valuable story, and then I see if it’s a role I can do well and read it over several times to decide,” she explained.
About “True to Love,” she said, “When I first read this script, I saw that it was fun, empathetic, and a valuable story so I was 100 percent sure and at the same time, I had a passion to do it well. Yeon Bo-ra is the most honest and warm-hearted character I’ve seen, she’s a very appealing person.”

In the series, Yoo In-na plays the role of a dating coach. In real life, she said, friends have asked her for advice on love.
“Yes, my friends and people around me ask me for love advice often. I make an effort to figure out what emotions my friend is experiencing and try to talk rationally. Sometimes when you’re dating, you need the eyes of a third party!” she revealed.
People can easily relate to “True to Love” because of its subject.
“A realistic, lovely, sweet, and painful love story is shown by several couples. I think it’s a story for all of us. So it is comforting and also helps us realize many things!” she said.
Yoo In-na also talked about working with actors Yoon Hyun-min and Joo Sang-wook, and their chemistry on the set.
“Yoon Hyun-min’s first impression was gentle and kind. I felt Joo Sang-wook was professional and cheerful. Both of them were so funny on set, so it was always full of laughter. I felt that they were trying to be considerate with everything. I was sincerely thankful,” she said.
Among the roles she played before “True to Love,” Yoo In-na chose her character Kang Cheong-ya in “Snowdrop” as most challenging and memorable.
“It's a character named Kang Cheong-ya in ‘Snowdrop’ that I played a short time ago. When I think of Kang Cheong-ya, I think I can hear her voice, but maybe because the lines are words that I've never said before, they're not recognized as my voice, but as the voice of a woman named Kang Cheong-ya,” she said.
She added, “The character is so strong but she has a pure heart, so it feels sad and beautiful. When I think about it, my heart aches. I hope Kang Cheong-ya is living well somewhere out there.”
“True to Love” is now available on Prime Video.
