President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. announced the first concert will be held on April 22 featuring  performers from Cebu, Ilocos Norte, Quezon, Cavite, Iloilo, Metro Manila, and Davao.

The move is aimed at recognizing the country's culture and world-class talents by providing a platform to the best and new Filipino artists.

"Naniniwala ang Pangulo na hindi dapat maiwanan ang creative industry habang muling umaarangkada ang ekonomiya ng bansa (The President believes that the creative industry must not be left behind as the country's economy recovers)," the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said in a statement on Thursday, April 13.

According to the PCO, "Konsyerto sa Palasyo" will feature singers, instrumentalists, dancers and movement artists, rappers, spoken word artists, rock vocalists, theater artists, beatbox artists and many more.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) will be the special guest on April 22, PCO said.

The April 22 concert, dubbed ‘Konsyerto sa Palasyo: Awit ng Magiting’, will be held to recognize the sacrifices of the AFP in maintaining peace and order in the country.

It will be attended by the members of the AFP from its main service branches with their families.

The concert will be aired live through the Facebook page of the Radio Television Malacañang, Office of the President, and Bongbong Marcos Facebook page.

"Ito ang una sa serye ng ‘Konsyerto sa Palasyo’ para sa taong 2023.  Asahan ang mga susunod pang pagtatanghal mula sa mga bagong mukha ng talentong Pinoy sa mga darating na buwan (This is the first series of the ‘Konsyerto sa Palasyo’ for 2023. Expect more talented Filipinos to perform in the next months)," the Palace said.

The list of performing artists will be announced by Malacañang in the next few days, PCO said.
