The Divine Mercy Philippines is inviting the faithful to join the Luzon Apostolic Congress on Mercy (LUACOM) 2023 on April 20 to 21 at the Malolos Convention Center in Bulacan.
Balanga Bishop Ruperto Santos, Episcopal Coordinator of Divine Mercy Philippines and Asia said, the gathering is an opportune time for the faithful to experience God’s mercy and love.
“We, Filipinos have this very beautiful and realistic proverb – “God’s mercy is evident to those who help themselves. Filipinos are by nature compassionate and charitable. With this Luzon Apostolic Congress on Mercy, we relive, commit and share God’s divine mercy to others,” said Bishop Santos over Radio Veritas.
“I invite you to pray with us and join us on those memorable and holy days. Together, we think of mercy, we speak mercy and we do mercy,” stressed Bishop Santos.

Aside from Bishop Santos, other Church leaders who are expected to attend include Malolos Bishop Dennis Villarojo, Manila Archbishop Cardinal Jose Advincula and Papal Nuncio to the Philippines Archbishop Charles John Brown. The Catholic Church is set to observe Divine Mercy Sunday on April 16. Pope Francis earlier appointed more than ten missionaries of mercy in the country to aid in spreading the Lord’s love, compassion and mercy particularly through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The missionaries were given authority to forgive serious offenses including threatening the life of the Holy Father, violation of priests to the seal of confession and abortion.
