DSWD rolls out social pension payout for seniors in Pasig City

The Department of Social Welfare and Development - National Capital Region (DSWD-NCR) has started distributing the social pensions of indigent senior citizens in Pasig City on Thursday, April 13, until Wednesday, April 26. The pensions that are being given are for the first semester of 2023, covering the period of January to June. The distribution is being headed by the Social Pension Program Management Office of DSWD-NCR, in coordination with the Office of Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) in Pasig City. For April 13, seniors in Barangays Bagong Katipunan, Buting, Kapasigan, and Malinao received their pensions from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the San Jose Covered Court in Barangay San Jose. For the 12 noon to 3 p.m. schedule, seniors in Barangay Sagad, San Jose, Sta. Rosa, and Sumilang were advised to get their pensions from the same venue. The pension distribution will be conducted on April 14 at the Countryside Covered Court in Barangay Sta. Lucia from 9 a.m. to 12 noon for senior citizens residing in Barangay Rosario, and 12 noon to 3 p.m. for those living in Barangay Sta. Lucia. Seniors living in Barangays Manggahan Proper and Manggahan NAPICO are scheduled to receive their pensions from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and 12 noon to 3 p.m. respectively, at the Kaalinsabay Covered Court in Barangay Manggahan on April 17. On April 18, the payout in Barangays Oranbo, San Antonio, Kapitolyo, and Bagong Ilog will be at 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and 12 noon to 3 p.m. for Barangay Pineda; all at the Kapitolyo Ampitheatre in Barangay Kapitolyo. On April 19, senior citizens in Barangay Maybunga must proceed to the Stella Maris Covered Court in Barangay Maybunga on 9 a.m. to 12 noon; and 12 noon to 3 p.m. for those in Barangays Ugong and Caniogan. At the Kalawaan Covered Court on April 20, DSWD and OSCA personnel will distribute the pensions for seniors in Barangay Bambang from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Payout for seniors in Barangays Kalawaan and San Joaquin will be held in the afternoon from 12 noon to 3 p.m. The distribution will also roll out in Barangays Palatiw and San Miguel from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and Sto. Tomas, Sta. Cruz, and San Nicolas from 12 noon to 3 p.m; all on April 21 at the Sta. Cruz Covered Court in Barangay Sta. Cruz. Seniors in Barangay Pinagbuhatan will receive their pensions on April 24 to 25 at the Suarezville Covered Court. Due to the large volume of beneficiaries in the barangay, the schedules were divided according to surnames. The following surnames will get their pension on April 24: Surnames starting with A to C (9 a.m. to 11 a.m), D to E (11 a.m. to 1 p.m), and F to K (1 p.m. to 3 p.m.). Meanwhile, surnames starting with L to Z will receive their pensions on April 25: L to R (9 a.m. to 12 noon) and S to Z (12 noon to 3 p.m.). On the last day of distribution, April 26, senior citizens are asked to proceed to the Ilaya Covered Court in Barangay Santolan. For Barangays Dela Paz and Manggahan Greenpark, their payout are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Payout for seniors in Barangay Santolan will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Senior citizens who will claim their pensions are required to present the original and photocopies of their senior citizen ID and a valid government ID (including three signatures and thumb markson the copies). Authorized representative who will avail of the pensions on behalf of the senior citizen listed in the DSWD program must bring the original and copies of the senior’s IDs, as well as their own valid government ID, an authorization letter (signed and thumb marked by the beneficiary), a barangay certification, and a printed photo of the senior citizen with the representative as proof of life. DSWD and OSCA personnel will strictly only accommodate claimants who will present complete, accomplished requirements. Claimants are also urged to follow their designated distribution schedules.
