
An additional 1,153 new Covid-19 infections were recorded by the Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday, Nov. 17.
Active cases or patients still undergoing treatment or isolation stood at 18,467, based on the DOH's Covid-19 tracker.
The regions with the highest number of infections in the recent 14 days remained unchanged.
These regions are the National Capital Region with 2,996, followed by Calabarzon with 1,765, Western Visayas with 1,377, Central Luzon with 1,048, and Central Visayas with 941.
Since the Covid-19 virus hit the Philippines in 2020, confirmed cases jumped to 4,022,127.
Of the figure, the number of survivors and fatalities totaled 3,939,219 and 64,441, respectively.
