BUTUAN CITY – A magnitude-4.3 earthquake rocked the island-province of Tawi-Tawi past midnight on Thursday, April 13, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the epicenter of the 12:46 a.m. earthquake was 332 kilometers (kms) southeast of Sapa-sapa, Tawi-Tawi and had a depth of 36 kms.
No aftershocks or damage is expected from the earthquake.
The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) in Southwestern Mindanao and Tawi-Tawi Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) reported no damage or injury.
