Two CTG members surrender to authorities in Tarlac and Zambales
CAMP OLIVAS, City of San Fernando, Pampanga – An active member of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) and a former member voluntarily surrendered to the authorities and turned over their firearms, report said on Wednesday, April 12.
“Ka Johnny,” an active member of CTG in Tarlac, surrendered to the personnel of 304th Maneuver Company and turned over one unit of homemade M14 rifle, 10 7.62mm ammunition, magazine, and rifle grenade with a canister.
Ka Johnny has outstanding warrants of arrest for violation of PD 705 (Revised Forestry Code) under criminal case No. 16-06 issued by Judge Jose Vallo, Presiding Judge, Third Judicial Region, Branch 68, Camiling, Tarlac, and violation of Article 285 (Other Light Threats) under Criminal Case No. 3418-SJ (16).
“Ka Bunog,” a former member of the Militia ng Bayan in Zambales, surrendered to the Zambales 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company. He also turned over a 12-gauge improvised shotgun and one unit of 40mm grenade ammunition.
Police Regional Office-3 Director Police Brig. Gen. Jose S. Hidalgo Jr. encouraged those who are still fighting the government to lay down their arms, cooperate with the government, and live peacefully with their loved ones.
