Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) national team committee chairman Tony Liao confirmed this, adding that Arado has begged off from national team duties as she still recuperates from injuries.
The development came as the team is scheduled to leave for Japan Thursday, April 13, for a two-week training camp in preparation for the biennial meet.
Pineda will join fellow libero Kyla Atienza in the lineup that is composed of Jia De Guzman, Ced Domingo, Jema Galanza, Tots Carlos, Michele Gumabao, Gel Cayuna, Glaudine Troncoso, Dell Palomata, Cherry Nunag, Kat Tolentino, Mylene Paat and team captain Alyssa Valdez.
The PH team hopes to make it to the podium this time after finishing fourth in the five-team field at the 31st edition held in Vietnam.
