Muntinlupa LGU brings tax payment service to shopping mall
To make tax payment more accessible for businesses, the Muntinlupa City government has brought the service closer to the people inside a shopping mall.
It established the Business Permits and Licensing Office Single-Window Transaction (BPLO SWiT) at the Festival Mall in Alabang, which will run until April 14, to allow businesses to pay their dues as the April tax filing deadline looms.

"With this public service initiative, brought to you by the City Government in partnership with Festival Mall, you can now do official business even while leisurely spending time at the mall," said Mayor Ruffy Biazon. Business owners can pay their second quarter local business tax from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the BPLO SWiT booth located near the mall concierge. Besides the SWiT, entrepreneurs may still renew their business license and mayor’s permit at the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) at the Muntinlupa City hall or online via the Business E-Payment System (BESt), which can be accessed at [www.muntinlupacity.gov.ph](http://www.muntinlupacity.gov.ph). Biazon encouraged businesses to take advantage of these multiple access points and avoid the penalty for late payments. "This way, we are making tax payments more accessible than ever, so we encourage everyone to avoid the rush and pay their taxes early," he said. The deadline for the second quarter local business tax payment is on April 20, 2023.
