LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police apprehended 13 wanted individuals during the Holy Week in the Cordillera region.
Sixty-five municipalities in the region recorded zero crime incidents from April 2 to 8.
The Police Regional Office-Cordillera Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) said the Baguio City Police Office recorded the highest number of arrests with six, followed by the Ifugao Police Provincial Office (PPO) with four, Benguet PPO with two, and Kalinga PPO with one.
Six arrested were most wanted persons, two on the regional level, one on the provincial level, two on the city level, and one on the municipal level.
As a result of intensified police visibility and campaign against criminality, 65 municipalities in the region and two police stations in Baguio City recorded zero crime incidents during the Holy Week.
Zero crime incidents were recorded in 26 municipalities in Abra, six in Apayao, eight in Benguet, six in Kalinga, nine in Mountain Province, and 10 in Ifugao.
The BCPO Police Stations 1 (Naguilian) and 6 (Aurora Hill) also recorded zero crime incidents out of the 10 police stations in Baguio City.
