4 suspects yield P646K shabu, guns in Laguna

LAGUNA – Authorities nabbed four drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in the Municipality of Pila on Tuesday, April 11. In a statement, the Laguna Police Provincial Office identified the suspects as alias Frey, alias Jared, alias Arvin, and alias Stephen, all residents of the Municipality of Sta. Cruz. The suspects were caught in the act of selling illegal drugs to police poseur buyers during the joint operation conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit and Pila Municipal Police Station (MPS). Seized from the suspects were 29 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with a total estimated street value of P646,000. Authorities also confiscated a caliber .380 pistol, a caliber .22 revolver, and four pieces of live ammunition. The suspects are now under the custody of Pila MPS, while the pieces of evidence were submitted to the crime laboratory for forensic examination.
