P3PWD Party-list nominee Rowena Guanzon is mighty proud of her father, retired Regional Trial Court (RTC) judge Sixto Roxas Guanzon.
In her musing on Twitter during the observance of Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor) on Monday, April 10, the formed Commission on Elections (Comelec) commissioner recalled how her dad survived captivity in the hands of the Japanese during World War II.
"Ang tatay ko dinakip binungbog at kinulong ng mga Japon. Pero nag Summa Cume Laude at may tunay na US Congressional Medal (My father was captured, beaten up, and incarcerated by the Japanese. But he became a Summa Cume Laude and received a true US Congressional Medal)," she tweeted.
The particular tweet came with a rather nice protrait of her father.
In a subsequent tweet, the P3PWD Party-list nominee clarified that her dad was given a "US Congressional Gold Medal".
Being the self-admitted "Queen of Bardagulan", she would also ask the trolls on her Twitter space: "So what medal did your idol's father get ?"
