LAGUNA – Gov. Ramil L. Hernandez announced the cancellation of classes in some parts of the province affected by Tropical Depression "Amang" on Wednesday, April 12.
In a Facebook announcement on Tuesday, April 11, Hernandez said onsite and online classes in public and private schools from Nursery to Grade 12, including Alternative Learning System, are automatically suspended in areas under Tropical Wind Cyclone Signal No. 1.
According to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration’s (PAGASA) 11:00 p.m. bulletin on April 11, these areas include San Pablo City, Alaminos, Calauan, Bay, Los Baños, Rizal, Nagcarlan, Victoria, Pila, Liliw, Magdalena, Majayjay, Luisiana, Cavinti, Pagsanjan, Santa Cruz, Lumban, Kalayaan, Paete, Pakil, Pangil, Siniloan, Famy, Santa Maria, and Mabitac.
The governor also advised his constituents to be prepared for bad weather brought by the tropical depression and to contact the Laguna Command Center Hotline in case they need rescue.
