On April 8, J-Hope posted new photos on his Instagram account, showing him with short hair. J-Hope and V also visited Jungkook and did a live broadcast on the Weverse app on the same day and talked about his new hair and his military service. “Everyone! I got a haircut. I got a trim before going [to the army],” said J-Hope. Big Hit Music, BTS’ agency, announced on April 1 that “J-Hope will fulfill his required time with the military by enlisting in the army. Please note that there will be no official event on the day of his entry.” However, the agency did not announce the date of J-Hope military enlistment. “Wow! What do I do about my hair? Why did it get so much shorter? We all end up getting our hair cut like this, everyone!” said J-Hope during the live broadcast, referring to what all BTS members will be getting once they start their military service. V said, “Our j-hope...He's going [to the army]!” J-Hope is the second member of BTS to enlist in the military after Jin, who started his last Dec. 13.
