In its 4 a.m. weather update, PAGASA said the LPA was estimated based on all available data at 905 km East of Mindanao. Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy weather is expected to bring isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms in most parts of the country. In Metro Manila and the rest of the country, the trough of LPA as well as localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms. PAGASA warned of “possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.” Cloudy skies with rains are also expected due to northeasterly surface windflow in Cagayan Valley. Flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains are also possible, the weather bureau said. In Eastern Visayas and Caraga, PAGASA said that there will be cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the trough of LPA. Affected areas were warned against “possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains.” Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeasterly surface windflow is expected in Central Luzon, Ilocos Region, and Cordillera Administrative Region.
