A man was gunned down by an unidentified suspect along Quirino Highway, Brgy. Bagbag, Novaliches, Quezon City on Easter Sunday, April 9.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Novaliches Station (PS 4) said that the victim’s identity has yet to be confirmed. He was wearing a gray t-shirt, blue checkered shorts, a cap, and is about 5’6” in height.
According to the PS 4, a maintenance personnel of an apartelle in the area found the lifeless body of the victim along the road after he heard gunshots which prompted him to report to his supervisor who, in turn, sought help from the police.
The QCPD said that based on a closed circuit television (CCTV) footage they gathered, the victim alighted from a jeepney and was walking towards the apartelle at around 4:50 p.m. when an unidentified man approached him from behind and shot his head twice using a firearm of an unknown caliber.
The suspect fled towards an undisclosed direction. The victim died on the spot.
The suspect was seen wearing a white shirt, denim short pants, black face mask, and a cap.
The incident is still under investigation.
