Baloyskie mulls possibility of returning to PH scene

Geek Slate star and MPL Indonesia Season 11 best roamer Allen “Baloyskie” Baloy is open at the possibility of returning to the MPL Philippines scene following a stellar two-season stint overseas.
Although nothing’s cast in stone yet when it comes to Baloyskie’s next move for his career, the veteran player said that if he would have his way, he would want to return to the Philippine shore where he felt he would reach his potential as a shotcaller. “Sobrang iniisip ko yon sobra talaga and nanonood ako ng mic check ng mga PH team. Nakakamiss kasi magcommunicate ng tagalog and tingin ko hindi ko pa nalalabas yung pinaka full potential kasi mas madali magshot call ng tagalog,” said Baloyskie in an interview with select PH media on Sunday, April 9. However, Baloyskie admitted that it would be easier said than done as there’s also a lot to consider if he would sign to a Philippine team. “Yung sahod medyo last na (to consider), pero pag nakita ko yung offer and team sobrang lakas kumbaga ngayon (kasi) hindi ko alam kung hanggang kailan ako nasa peak ko,” he added. Talks of Baloyskie also hanging his jersey and focus on coaching also surfaced following his tweet after Geek Slate’s shock playoff exit. His team suffered a heartbreaking reverse sweep in the best-of-five affair against eventual runners-up EVOS Legends. “Last season as a player?,” Baloyskie wrote in a tweet. The former Onic PH star however clarified that it was just spur of the moment due to his frustrations with Geek Slate’s loss. Baloyskie said that he’s still open for anything including a possible return to Geek Slate which he steered to a historic playoff appearance this season. “Actually, noong time na tinweet ko medyo upset ako sa sarili ko sabi ko kung kaya ba makipagsabayan. Dumating sa point na nalungkot ako,” he recalled “Ang lupit na gumalaw ng mga kalaban kaso nga lang narealize ko na hindi naman micro yung binabayaran sakin pero if ever may mag-offer sakin o if Geek Fam, tingin ko hindi pa (mag reretire). Out of emotion lang ang tweet na yon pero kung may nag offer, wala pa naman pero feeling ko anytime meron may mag-ooffer,” he said.
