7 injured as tricycle, big bike collide in Quezon

SAN NARCISO, Quezon – A tricycle driver and his six passengers were injured in a collision with a sports motorcycle on Easter Sunday on Abuyon National Road in Barangay Lacdayan here. The victims were identified as Edgar Capio, 34, driver; Mayrene Capio, 33; Harold Pedido Capio, 13, student; Ezha Mae Capio, 7, student; Lester Rioflorido, 19, student; Marinel Rioflorido, 27, and Bryle Zed Obispo, 2, residents of Barangay Burgos, Mulanay, this province. Investigation said the tricycle was accidentally hit by the white BMW R2150 sports motorcycle of Christian Caparos, 38, a businessman, of Gumaca, Quezon while it was turning to the opposite lane to overtake a vehicle in front at 4:30 p.m. Victims were taken to the San Narciso Municipal Hospital. They were headed toward the direction on Mulanay, Quezon from the town proper here. No case was filed as Caparos and the victims agreed to an an amicable settlement.
