A 19-year-old woman was arrested by members of the Las  Piñas Police Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) and the Intelligence Section (IS) on Saturday, April 1, for violation of the anti-child abuse law.

According to the report submitted by city police chief, Col. Jaime Santos, to the Southern Police District (SPD), the suspect was identified as Jasmine Kyle Galit, tagged as the top ninth most wanted person in Las  Piñas.

Galit was arrested at around 11:15 a.m. in Emmaus Village, Moonwalk, Barangay Talon 5, Las Piñas City.

Santos said WSS and IS operatives served the arrest warrant to Galit for violation of the special protection of children against child abuse, exploitation and discrimination act or the Anti-Child Abuse Law.

The city police chief said the warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Nerina Anastacio-Mendinueto of Las Piñas Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 199 on March 17 with a recommended bail of P160,000.

Galit is now detained at the police custodial facility. Â
