CAMP OLA, Albay – Police arrested the spokesperson of the New Peoples' Army (NPA) in the fourth district of Camarines Sur in Pampanga on Friday, March 31.
Lt. Col. Malu Calubaquib, Police Regional Office-5 (Bicol) spokesperson, identified him as Victor M. Pajate, 46, alias “Loren” and “Yhaba,” and a resident of Barangay San Ramon, Iriga City, Camarines Sur.
"Pajate belongs to Platoon BUFF, L1, KP5, BRPC and the spokesperson of Camarines Sur People's Organization ‘Boronyog’ under PSRL, White Area Committee. This group has been known to conduct offensive operations against the government and even innocent civilians in the fourth district of Camarines Sur," said Calubaquib.
Pajate was arrested on a warrant for attempted murder with a bail of P120,000.
PNP-Bicol Director Brig. Gen. Westrimundo Obinque lauded the efforts of the operating teams and thanked the Philippine Army for their consistent support that contributed to the many feats of the PNP, Calubaquib added.
"PNP Bicol shall continue the momentum and further strive for progress, peace, and security in the region," she said.
