Trisha Tubu and Lucille Almonte nailed back-to-back hits for the Lady Falcons, who weathered down the Blue Eagles’ late comeback.
The triumph extended Adamson’s winning streak to three games while hiking its win-loss tally to 7-2 at solo second.
“I told them not to get pressured. Laro lang. Relax,” said Adamson coach Jerry Yee.
Kate Santiago paced the Lady Falcons with 18 points and nine digs, while Tubu added 17 points built on 15 kills and two blocks.
Lorene Toring and Lucille Almonte contributed with nine and eight points, respectively.
Adamson dominated Ateneo on attacks, 53-37, thanks to Louie Romero, who distributed the ball well and finished with 18 excellent sets.
Ateneo, meanwhile, sank to 3-6 despite Faith Nisperos and Vanie Gandler scoring 17 and 10 points.
