Dr. Filemon C. Aguilar Memorial College marks 25th founding anniversary
The Dr. Filemon C. Aguilar Memorial College (DFCAM) of Las Piñas established by former Mayor Vergel “Nene” Aguilar celebrated its 25th founding anniversary on Wednesday, March 8.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar, chairman of the board of trustees, said the former mayor established the school in 1998 to give the city residents free and better education.
Aguilar said the school has already produced successful scholars in their chosen fields and are now working in big companies here and abroad.
Vice Mayor April Aguilar, who attended the celebration, encouraged DFCAM students to study hard and make the former mayor proud of them.
Employees who exhibited admirable work ethics and loyalty to the school were awarded during the event.
Aguilar said present during the anniversary program were Department of Interior and Local Government (D ILG) Las Piñas Regional Director Mary Anne Planas, Public Information officer-in-charge Paul San Miguel, Las Piñas Manpower Training officer in-charge Engr. Noel Cuevas, DFCAMCLP President Ramoncito Jimenez, and DFCAM VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Mark Anthony Gusto.
