Outstanding UE alumnus is now executive secretary

Honorable Lucas P. Bersamin, the former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines who is an outstanding graduate of the University of the East College of Law, was recently feted jointly by UE and the UE Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center, Inc. (UERMMMCI). In a testimonial dinner in recognition of his appointment as the country’s newest executive secretary. The celebratory event was held at the Grand Ballroom of Century Park Hotel in Manila on Feb. 10, 2023. Executive Secretary Bersamin, who had served as a member of the Board of Trustees of both UE and UERMMMCI, received resolutions of commendation by both institutions.
