The Taguig City government, together with national agencies, kicked off the National Women's Month celebration with different activities.
At an event at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP)-Taguig, women from different sectors received benefits, programs and training.

Women beneficiaries under the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) integrated livelihood program were given rice business and frozen food business packages. The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) held a discussion on business resiliency for women with disabilities, who were made beneficiaries of the “Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa” program. The Cooperative Development Office taught cooperative member entrepreneurs, fisherfolk and DOLE Integrated Livelihood Programs beneficiaries about financial literacy, while the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) held a demonstration on fish processing to wives of fisherfolk. A turnover of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) slots for the Philippine Ladies League was held. "Ang aking panalangin ay ang mga kababaihan, di lang sa Taguig pati sa buong Pilipinas at sa buong mundo, palaging matrato nang maayos, mabigyan ng suporta, maipadarama sa kanya na mahalaga siya at mahal siya (My prayer is that our women, not only in Taguig but in the whole Philippines and around the world be treated well; be given support, and to make them feel that they are important and precious),” said Mayor Lani Cayetano in her message.
