Senior Deputy Speaker and Pampanga 2nd district Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's longstanding stature as one of the country’s most astute politicians have earned her the respect and admiration of her House colleagues.
One of them is Parañaque 2nd district Rep. Gus Tambunting.
Tambunting, himself a veteran solon and public servant, took to Facebook to flex the photo that he got with the former president during the all-party caucus in the House of Representatives on Monday, March 6.
"Meeting with the 14th President of the Republic of the Philippines, Honorable Senior Deputy Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at the sidelines of our caucus at the House of Representatives today," wrote Tambunting, who couldn't help but flash a megawatt smile beside Arroyo.
"Maraming salamat po, Ma’am PGMA, sa inyong suporta sa ating mga adhikain para sa Parañaque at para sa buong bansa! (Thank you very much, Ma'am PGMA, for supporting my aspirations for Parañaque and for the entire country)," he added.
Arroyo served as Philippine president from 2001 to 2010. She is also a former House Speaker.
