Fans of Kapamilya star Kathryn Bernardo were up in arms about Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano who revealed in an interview that the 2019 blockbuster movie "Hello, Love, Goodbye" was first offered to Liza and boyfriend Enrique Gil.

In Bea Alonzo's vlog where Liza took a lie detector test on March 5, Liza revealed: "Yung 'Hello, Love Goodbye' ni Kathryn (Bernardo) and Alden (Richards) were actually offered to Quen and I first. And then I wanted to do that movie so bad then there was a project lined up for the both of you. Then while I was doing 'Bagani,' nabalitaan ko it was offered to Kathryn and Ken. Why did they do that? I asked them to save the project for me and Ken. I told them to wait for us. And then they have to develop it first. I said okay we'll wait. And then nalaman ko na lang they still offered it to Kathryn and Ken. Wala na yung LizQuen. It was then later I realized, oh my God! Ang dami kong hindi nagawa sa career ko."

Liza's revealation did not sit well with fans of Kathryn. Some comments:

"While I believe Liza Soberano is a good actress, Joy Marie Fabregas was made for Kathryn Bernardo. No one can portray her better."

"Para naman pala kay Kathryn Bernardo, bakit ka nag iinarte ngayon Liza? Takot na takot ka pa na i pair si Enrique kay Kath, kasi alam mo na hindi mo kaya mag isa! Chekka!"

"You can tell that she wasn't the first choice for the role, but Joy Fabregas was designed for Kathryn Bernardo only. It was meant for her. She played and embodied Joy's character wholly and no one can portray that character as great as she did."

"Lagi nalang si Kathryn ang hinahanap. eh nasaan ba? ayan, may bagong endorsement nanaman, not running out of workdays. if being this busy is what lack of career growth looks like sanaol lol"

"Kathryn Bernardo will always be the standard"

"In-offer ang HLG kay Hope, she said hold it muna, pero hindi niya naisip na habang hindi ginagawa ang project, nakatengga ang sahod ng mga maliit na tao, kaya the management push it and OFFER it to Kath and Alden. Una lang in-offer kay Liza, hindi siya ang gumawa ng HLG."

Both Kathryn and Liza also trended on social media following comments from their fans.

Shot in Hong Kong, "Hello, Love Goodbye" is currently the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time after it earned more than P880 million in box-office. Cathy Garcia Molina directed the romantic drama flick.
