Months after returning to the country, Honor is full steam ahead in launching new smartphones on our shores. Honor is known for producing high-quality, sleek-looking devices with affordable price tags. Adding to their lineup of smartphones in the Philippines is the HONOR X7a. Although only a 4G smartphone, the Honor X7a is not a smartphone you should shun aside. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G37 processor and runs with Magic UI 6.1 based on the Android 12 operating system. Using the Honor X7a’s 4G data connectivity is surprisingly fast and dependable. Despite multiple data-dependent apps running at the same time, it didn’t slow down at all. We did not experience any lags or buffers during the weeks we were testing it. It also has 128 Gb of storage and is expandable up to 1 TB via a microSD card slot. Its sim tray can accommodate 2 sim cards or one sim card and a microSD card. So choose carefully which you need more. A secondary sim or expanded storage space? The HONOR X7a sports a 6.74-inch Honor Fullview display, a screen size that you would normally find on “Pro” flagship devices. It is partnered with a 90Hz refresh rate for smooth swiping and scrolling. It can also reach impressive brightness that you can clearly see what's on-screen even under direct sunlight. Apart from this, the Honor X7a is also TÜV Rheinland low blue light certified. It offers multiple eye protection modes such as Eye comfort, Dark mode and E-book mode. This adjusts the colour temperature of the Honor X7a’s screen and makes sure that your eyes are protected and comfortable for long hours of screen time. Powering up the Honor X7a is a 6,000mAh battery that is more than enough to last the whole day even with heavy usage. In terms of charging, it has a 22.5 Watts Honor Supercharge charger that can give you 3 hours of watching videos in just 10 minutes of charging. This is perfect when you are short on time for charging as you can have a few more hours of battery life in 10 minutes of charging. For imaging, the Honor X7a sports a 50MP ultra-clear main lens, a 5MP Ultra-wide, 2MP Depth of Field and a 2MP Macro lens. While in front is an 8 MP with 2D face recognition support. With these camera specs, the HONOR X7a is good enough for everyday photography requirements. Colours are captured vibrantly and true to their colour in real life. In summary, the HONOR X7a is a worthy smartphone for people on the go. Budget-conscious individuals will also appreciate its price point as it won’t burn that much hole in your pocket. And with technology improving leaps and bounds in the country, the Honor X7a’s 4G connectivity is not an issue as it still gives fast internet connectivity.
