Tingog Party-list caps free concert series; here's what went down
Tingog Party-list capped its thanksgiving concert series with a star-studded affair on Saturday night, March 4 at the RTR Plaza in Tacloban City, Leyte.

Headlining the concert dubbed "Tingog ng Pasasalamat" were master rapper Andrew E, and Pinoy rock icon Bamboo.
The audience was also treated to the rousing performances of actress-singer Karla Estrada and the Plethora band. The event likewise showcased local talents like Remo Tribe, Outcast Musicians, J&J, Jaydi, and Phonics.
In between the performances, raffles were held where lucky members of the audience won various prizes, including electronic gadgets.
The March 5 concert was the fourth in a series of four concerts, all with free admission. The prior three concerts were held in Cebu City (Feb. 12); Tagum City, Davao Del Norte (Feb. 17); and Quezon City (Feb. 25).
House Speaker and Leyte 1st district Rep. Martin Romualdez, who attended the event, thanked the Leyteños for their support as he also acknowledged the important contributions of Tingog Party-list in passing legislation that's meant to improve the lives of Filipinos.
“I am happy to see this huge crowd that trooped here to enjoy this concert. I am truly thankful for your display of support. Let me assure you that we will continue to work closely with Tingog to uplift the lives not only of the people of Leyte but inclusive progress for the entire country,” Speaker Romualdez said.
For her part, Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez assured that the group will continue to deliver its distinct brand of service, particularly to those who need it the most.
“You can be assured that Tingog will remain true to its avowed objective of bringing about hope, change, and progress to our communities. Maraming salamat po sa patuloy na suporta (Thank you very much for your continued support),” she said.
Rep. Jude Acidre, the other Tingog Party-list nominee in the House of Representatives, also thanked the local folk not only for the massive turnout at the concert but also for their cooperation and warm welcome to Tingog workers visiting their communities to provide assistance.
