LOOK: Tingog Party-list, DICT distribute nearly 200 laptops for teachers


Tingog Party-list Reps. Yedda Marie Romualdez and Jude Acidre facilitated over the weekend the distribution of nearly 200 laptops to beneficiaries, mostly teachers.

"Our partnership with the Marcos administration has been bringing fruits," said Rep. Romualdez, chairperson of the Committee on Accounts in the House of Representatives, during the distribution Friday, March 3.

The laptops, 197 in all, came from the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).

"We hope that these laptop units will bring more productivity to many more beneficieries
Thank you very much for the support," the lady lawmaker said.

Aside from Reps. Romualdez and Acidre, and Undersecretary Terrence Calatrava of the Office of the Presidential Assistant for the Visayas also attended the turnover.

"Tingog Party-list Rep. Yedda Romualdez and I, in partnership with the ed by Regional Director Felix Tabano Jr. and the Office of Speaker Martin Romualdez distributed laptop units to beneficiaries from 44 different schools in Eastern Visayas. Thank you for your continued support!" Acidre said.

Rep. Romualdez, who is the wife of Speaker Romualdez, also attended the groundbreaking for the IBP-Leyte chapter building along the Tacloban City Bypass Road.

The state-of-the-art building is funded under the national budget through the joint efforts of Speaker Romualdez and Tingog Party-list.
