Woman saved from falling off building in Binondo, Manila
Rescue teams saved a woman from falling off a residential building in Binondo, Manila on Friday, March 31, the Manila Police District (MPD) said.
Police said the 22-year-old woman, a resident of Ligaya Building on Alvarado St. in Binondo, was rescued at about 9:31 a.m.
According to the MPD report, police received a call from a concerned citizen at about 8 a.m., informing them that someone was sitting on the edge of a rain gutter of Ligaya Building's sixth floor.
Teams from the MPD, Bureau of Fire District (BFP) - Special Rescue Force, and Manila Disaster and Risk Management Office (DRRMO) immediately responded to the incident.

After an hour of negotiation, the rescuers managed to approach and bring the woman inside the building.
The woman told the responders that she was distressed because her boyfriend broke up with her recently.
