'Humbly thankful': Tingog reacts to topping job performance survey
Tingog Party-list Rep.Yedda Marie Romualdez says she is "humbly thankful" after her party-list emerged as no. 1 in terms of job performance rating based on the results of the latest survey carried out by RP-Mission and Development Foundation, Inc. (RPMD)
“We are humbly thankful for this honor. With all humility, we thank all those who believed in us. Rest assured that this recognition from our endeared constituency will only motivate us further to work harder for the welfare of our people and our nation,” said Rep. Romualdez, chairperson of the House Committee on Accounts.
Rep. Romualdez, is the wife of Speaker Martin Romualdez. She is one half of the Tingog Party-list duo in the House of Representatives, the other being Deputy Majority Leader Rep. Jude Acidre.
In the nationwide survey conducted by the RPMD between Feb. 25 and March 8, Tingog Party-list garnered a job performance rating of 93.5 percent, which was head and shoulders above the field.
ACT-CIS Party-list, 89.4 percent; Agimat Party-list, 88.6 percent; PBA Party-list, 87.9 percent; 4Ps Party-list, 87.5 percent; 1-Rider Party-list, 85.9 percent; Ako Bicol Party-list, 85.1 percent; Bagong Henerasyon Party-list, 84.4 percent; SAGIP Party-list, 83.6 percent; and Senior Citizens Party-list, 80.1 percent.
Tingog Party-list was established during the aftermath of "Yolanda", considered the strongest typhoon ever to hit the Philippines, in 2013. It sought to offer a "regional perspective on national issues". Tingog means "voice".
“As a party-list group that was borne out of the worst calamity ever to hit our country, our passion for helping others runs very deep in the people that make up our organization. Kaya naman natutuwa kami na nagbubunga ang aming pagsisikap na makatulong sa ating mga kababayan,” Romualdez said.
She also lauded the other partyl-list groups in the House of Representatives for doing a good job of looking out for the welfare of the people.
“This is not a competition. Magkatuwang tayong lahat para sa ikabubuti ng ating bayan at ng mamamayan," Rep. Romualdez said.
A total of 10,000 respondents took part in the nationwide survey.
