TACLOBAN CITY – A Swedish man shot and wounded his wife before killing himself in front of the police in Sitio Maliko-Liko, Barangay Dampigan, Santa Rita, Samar, on Wednesday, March 30.
Police identified the victim as Lenny Kindrud, 41.
Investigation said that Lenny and her husband, Connie Carl Kindrud, had an intense argument before the incident.
The victim was shot and taken to the hospital before police arrived to diffuse the situation.
Police negotiated with the suspect who was armed with a gun when they arrived.
While the chief of police was talking to the suspect, Connie Karl shot himself with a caliber .45 pistol.
Connie Karl was brought to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Police recovered the gun and empty shells and slugs in the crime scene.
