BAYAMBANG, Pangasinan – The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH)-Pangasinan Fourth District Engineering Office has completed the construction of a P9-million road in Barangay Pantol here.

Esperanza Tinaza, DPWH Region 1 public information officer, said the road will save residents 30 to 35 minutes travel time to the business center.

“The construction of the road facilitates faster access of the residents to their nearest business center in Alcala Market which is 13 kilometers from the project site,” Tinaza said.

Faster movement of goods and transport of agricultural products to the business center will also be achieved, resulting into the increased income for farmers.

The road which used to be a farm lot has a length of 208.50 linear meters and five meters wide.

Built for P9,771,046, the project was funded under the General Appropriations Act of 2022.
