De Venecia project PD4 Boardwalk in Pangasinan to be completed this year

The Tondaligan Beach Boardwalk in Dagupan City and the San Fabian Boardwalk in Barangay Bolasi, San Fabian, Pangasinan will be connected and become the Pangasinan District 4 (PD4) Boardwalk, the “longest biker’s route by the sea” in the province. This bike lane by the sea is a project of Pangasinan Rep. Christopher “Toff” de Venecia. Department of Public Works and Highways-Ilocos Engineer III Alex Villanueva said Phases 1 and 2 of the 8.377-kilometer project were completed in 2018 and 2019. However, the project was interrupted by the pandemic. Construction resumed after Covid-19 restrictions were lifted and is expected to be completed this year. Funds for the project were sourced from the DPWH and the Department of Tourism. The project is expected to attract joggers, skimboarders, and tourists and provide livelihood to residents. Tourists have been visiting the completed portion of the project in Tondaligan Beach and Barangay Bolasi and been a source of income for residents.
